Exhaust for my Stinger - How much weight?
#1
I'm finally getting some movement on getting the 383 into the 222. Hell.. I might even make it out this season!!
For my fellow Stinger 222 owners (or those with past experience):
I'm looking at exhaust options now and I'm stuck between going with iron or aluminum. I believe the average system is between 70-80 lighter in aluminum versus iron. Would lopping off 80 pounds from the back of the boat make that much of a difference with this hull? Iron will last quite a while with how I anal I am about flushing the system... aluminum I'm not so sure about (I boat in fresh and salt).
Any opinions or advice would be helpful. I'm just about to the point of ordering "something" for the exhaust.
Thanks!
