On the 32 Skater race boats, we saw about 14-17 additional MPH when going from twin/2.5s to tripple/2.5s. Back in the day, S class was twins 2.5s and P class was tripple 2.5s.
It is over 500 additional pounds off the back of the boat, plus the added fuel that is burned, and the center motor always seemed to be the one that broke.

I ran accross a picture of a 28 skater with triple 300 X´s (it´s name is attitude adjuster), I believe that it could run in the 125 mph range. My main concern besides the added weight is the center pod they put for the center motor. I would like to know the dimensions of this pod and why it is needed.
A friend of mine went from twin 300 x´s on his 30 ft spectre to triple 300 XS´s and upped his top speed from 94 to 110 and the boat is a blast to drive now.
Thanks for all the information that can be provided.

I wonder if that´s the skater that´s going to TNT Marine of Miami , Fl. A friend of mine is negotiating a used 28 with them that used to have triple 300 X´s . I find it strange that an extra 300 Hp would slow you down, but who knows...
