Default Rant : "3 Day" idiots ...

I call these people "3 Dayers". They probably only get their boats out on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day.

You know these guys --- you see them running across the lake with every fender they own tied to the side of their boat. Or... they don`t have their boat trimmed properly and are plowing water like a 50' cruiser.
They also pull up to the ramp, back in, then proceed to unload everything from the truck into the boat --- while blocking 2 lanes at the ramp.
Or ... they are coming at you on the water zig-zagging back and forth , pulling a tube and you have no idea which way they really intend to go ...
I could go on and on ......
I encountered too many of these guys over the weekend. Just needed to rant for a minute.
Thank You !

I only had to deal with one idiot all weekend. I picked up a friend on shore. He pushed me out and I turned around to face about 20 boats coming at me in the no wake zone. So I had to weave through them to get to the right side. Some guy immediately throws his arms up in the air all pizzed off like I did something horrible. I was still 100' away from him. I just gave him a big smile and waived!

I hear ya, just sitting at the dock watching people amaze me. I don't know how many times I thought too myself over the weekend "Are you serious"? Actually just yesterday this guy pulled in between these two dock boats, dude looks over to the side and asked the owner if he could tie up next to him, LMFAO!! Another guy few weeks ago a boat came in and struggled to back into a slip, hit 4 boats. Few of the security guys and other boaters came running down to the dock to help them out. Back of the boat had a name "Ships of Fools" (no joke) I laughed so hard.

I fall into a different category of "3-Dayer." Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day are the 3 days I don't hit the water. Too much idiot traffic.

Having 3 month summers I couldn't imagine missing these three holidays. They are usually the highlights of my summers!

Thankfully I don't have raft-ups, docks and slips to deal with!
