Default Yellow Canopy Race boat in LB on Sunday

We got passed like we were tied to the dock by a 38'ish solid yellow canopy v-hull with large steps on Sunday in LB behind the breakwall. Just curious what boat it was and what it had for power.

The thing looked and sounded amazing!

Looked sort of like the 40' Extreme race boat from Teague's, but had side exhaust and no markings.

Anyone know the boat?

Dude, I'm going to give you a ride in my Pantera, but where do you think I got the photo I posted?

I don't think it was the boat pictured because it had side exit exhaust rather than rear exit. I was just using that as an example.

Next contestant!

What kind of boat do you think it is, maybe a fountain?

Don't think so, no beak. Shaped a lot like the 39 Phantom that's in the classifieds, but then there were the big (fountain esque) steps. I didn't think that Phantom was so ventilated.

I was out with a couple of Scope guys who seem to know most of the boats in the area and niether had seen it before.

I'll tell you though, the thing was super bad!

You going to bring the Hawaiian out for the poker run? You could do the short course. You'll get to see a lot of heavy metal!

Ah ha! Thanks Tom. That thing was awesome. So they changed the exhaust too huh? Looking forward to hanging out with you guys in a couple weeks! Make sure you guys don't drink all the beer in the hour or so between when you guys get in and I get in!

James, after I saw those guys running those little o/b powered ski boats in the ski race, I've given up the notion that there's a boat that's too small for the ocean, as long as you've got good bilge pumps, good life jackets and your clearly insane!

Looking forward to meeting you in person!
