Default Shallow Water!!

While at the river I hit a shallow spot ran over rocks, chewed up my prop, and skeg. I notice now when I rev the motor, it makes this high pitch rattle noise. I have a 91 Hallett 210s with a 454 and bravo I outdrive. Any advice would be helpful, I'm new to the boating scene.

Sounds like you broke some teeth inside the drive.....it neds to come apart, the longer you run it the more damage your doing to the internals.

Check with your insurance company.

i should clarify....
after hitting the rocks, you now hear the noise...is that with the drive down and new prop?

i was just thinking about balance of damaged prop (probably wouldnt do it) and if the drive was up you will always get some noise.

jsut thinking outloud....

insurance!!

I hit some rocks, with my props, as I pulled away from a sea wall. My gimble ring broke apart 10 miles down the lake. My insurance company paid to have both drives taken apart and checked. every shaft in themwas also bent. They rebuilt the drives, gimble and props. I only paid my deductable.
