Haven't used them, but will probably give them a try in the Spring. I have read that water pressure may go down a little with them. Thats fine with me since I'm at 32-34psi at wot.

They don't push enough water....but they do work......your motor will run hotter from what we have seen in every application.

Even though the impellor can last 15 min w/o water, what shape will the housing be in?
Every toasted impellor I've removed, also required the housing to be replaced do to it being melted and scored beyound use.

Hmmm... I usually run my boat IN WATER.

I not only sell them but use them in my Twin Ilmor 625's. I've sold 100's of them without any returns or complaints. I too have read the threads mentioning the lower water psi but no one has ever given me any supporting documentation based on their own personal experiences. What I hear most is lower water psi in custom hi HP engines but normal water psi in your standard Merc & Ilmor (Ilmor uses Hardin Marine Pump) applications.
