Can Supercat Motor be made Reliable?
does anyone have suggestions to bring a 750hp supercat motor into a reliable poker run engine, using 93 pump fuel, can a blower easily be added for added hp, I assume the extremely high rpm's contribute to its short life span.

they are high compression, I dont know about a blower... Most of the RPM is due to the high comp., they make power with RPM instead of cubic inches and blowers
Maybe a different cam...but I would guess that it'll make less power.

from personal knowledge of individual's using this engine they seem to be dependable in it's present form. as for the blower add on, i am sure it is possible but you can speed up the timer on that set up.

If you want a pump gas motor, build a pump gas motor. The supercat motors are 12:1 and have a rather large camshaft. By the time you lower the compression 2 points and change the cam, change the accessories, remove the dry sump because it is no longer needed, etc.... you could have built a new motor from scratch. They are some pretty reliable motors considering what they are put through and I would keep them that way and start over with a motor designed to run on 93.

supercats are around real cheap.Make it a 522 with 10 to 1 pistons, little smaller cam and leave the rest alone.you couldn't build a engine with the parts of a supercat for less than 20,000.Spin it 6600 rpms and it will last for ever.Mine have 25 races on original parts less lifters and springs,keepers and valves,rings and bearings.They have a kryptonite crank,carillo rods,je pistons,brodix with titanium valves,dry sump and splayed billet cap bowtie block.you *****s are on crack.Oh I forgot,killer ignition,jesel belt,jesel rockers,dominator carbs,spring oilers.You don't need dry sump or a 10 inch ***** but it is nice to have
