Just bought an 87 cruiser with a quicksilver dual controls. Need one trim button no big deal. Trouble with neutral button !! Not springing out ? Also wont depress for throttling in neutral !! Makes it kind of hard starting since it not fuel injected !! Had the control out and if I squeeze the botton from the front and back it works sometimes !! Parts new or used ?

Z , merc used to offer the plastic pieces for that button in a kit. I just took a quick look and only found it for the standard side mount ob. Not sure if it will work with what you have. I will keep looking if you would like. Don't think you can buy the existing control complete any more.

I found a single today used but guess what ?? the button doesnt work on that one either !! I cant find a picture of what it looks like inside the button. Plastic it figures !!!! I dont have time now to drive all over looking for parts just on line . Have to prep for the Hot Toddie.
