Could an activator be competitive in SVL what speeds do these run with a 525 at what weight. could one be built for SVL and keep up with a Phantom or Extreme?

I wonder the same. I think the new 30 is running 86-88 with 525/IMCO and a cabin with all the goodies. I would say yes. Without all the extras it should run in low 90s and handle the water much better.

I remember Doc's little canopy Activator, High Noon Racing being up in the front of the pack, battling for the lead with Extreme. In 2003, the Legouri's were runner ups to Mikilos and Decuices in SVL and were very exciting to watch.

Nothing against Activator but don't try and put a round plug in a square hole. Buy a Phantom or Extreme if you want to be competitive. There are plenty for sale I'm sure.

No I'm not kidding. The world speed and race records speak for themselves.

but wouldn't it be more fun to beat the extreme or phantom in something new that hasn't been done. The Bottoms on these boats are not rocket science. and there should be other manufacturers that can keep up, they all have the same power and weight, So it;s hull and aero dynamics that get er done. Handling is also critical but what about a Sunsation, Activator or a few others that are allready out there just need some tweaking and a canopy. What kind of boat was WHM mini me isnt that an activator 27?

Don't let Will Smith and Mark Spates hear you say that. Sure you can go after " the under dog" title but you're hundreds of hours behind in testing , etc.
