It would be interesting to see what a 30 Activator would run in SVL....the other thing you can do in SVL is put on a ext-box...plus less wind drag with the canopy....the WHM svl was never a very fast boat.....it would be interesting if a 30 would be built for SVL and layed up to be raced in that class....with all the lake racing they do....I think it would still run good....but in the big stuff....I think it would be up front....

think the 30 is 29+ w/ the platform, so its shorter than phantom/extremes.

so with out the platform its a 27 1/2.

imagine the flac if it were a fountain.

The high noon boat could never come close to the extreme boat when they use to race in 2001-2002.
The final word frm someone who knows (been there and done that) WTF he is talking about. Good to hear you chime in.

Heard you dusted my father this past summer. You know he would turn around for you once he saw you, but he knew the outcome before he made the turn. Thanks for running him, that what he likes to do. Me too!

I was at the SBI race in New York in either 98 or 99 and I thought there was a 30' Activator that was around 6' wide and had an in line tandom canopy. Am I mistaken? I'm also wonder why Fountain has never taken there 32' put two big steps on it, build a race deck and competed in SVL.

I wounder if they cut down a 30 activator and put a lid on like the Laveycraft, if its capible of 90 to 92 mph....
Seeing how the Phantoms and extremes run, they like to chine walk a lot....the 27 even in 3 to 4 footers ran great with very little chine walking....if a 30 can run 86....I'm sure with a extension box and a lid for better areodynamics and a little weight taken off...its should be at 90+.....

KN,

I believe the boat you were refering to was actually the old BRONX BANDIT. It is a 32' Activator built for the old A-class where many of the SVL boats today have come from. Last I heard the hull and deck were in Jersey. I saw the boat not to long ago.

Heater, good luck with the activator.I was the crew man for the
Legouri's when they owned the boat. Had great times with them
and the people we raced with.
Denny, PS, pray for rough water!
