Doesn't look like you are getting much response here. Most of the people here have gasoline engines, except for a few of the larger boats (over 40'). In that case, they usually use the 440 hp Yanmars, because they are fairly lightweight for a diesel of that power. The D3 Volvo is a lower horsepower 4 cylinder diesel, so you are not likely to find anyone using that on a performance boat (which this forum is geared for). The D6 Volvo is too heavy for the power generated. Every so often, I will hear of someone using the Cummins diesel.
