We just finished repowering a 28' cigarette with twin 383Mercruiser small blocks. They were rated at 330 hp each. We are running TRS drives. We tested the boat today with what all the locals recomended 23 Mirage Plus. We were only able to get 53 MPH on the GPS and the engines would only turn up to 4100 RPM's. I guess the next step is to go down to 21s, but I am wondering if anyone has a similer set up and if so what props are you using? Thanks!

I have a 1978 28ss with a pair of 7.4 mpi engines 310hp with trs drives i run 27 mirage plus. i run 44 to 4600 trimed up. boat runs low 70's
