I'm going into the 1st winterization with my 496HO and have a few ??? . Other than the hand pump I have located 2 drain plugs on the lower right side of the motor(not block) are there any others I should be looking for?

There are four drain plugs....two on each side. On the port side one near the back corner, and one near the front. On the sbd side both are close to the water pump. You really do have to get a good view of the bottom sides of the motor to see all the blue plugs. Once you pump the motor out dont expect much water to come out of 3 of the 4 drain plugs. Dont forget to run antifreeze through the muffs after you drain.

You should also check the freeze state of the closed cooling antifreeze. I know that it is new but I have had a couple that were a little on the close side. Good luck
