Hi All
Im looking at a new used boat and on the hull toward the rear of the boat there is 2 small about the size of quater (not exatly round but about that general size) looks like gray marine tex no cracking or any thing around it just these two spots. Is that a common practice in a gelcoat repair onm the underside of a boat. Thanks for any advice.

Well I don't know if it's "normal" but I've marine-texed the bow edge of my hull where I got stuck on a oyster bed. It sands right on down to match the shape of the hull. Is it in anyplace to see the back side of the repair? I'd be worried about a hull puncture.
