Ford Transmission

Hello, My 76 Model Boat with Ford transmission will not engage into forward gear. What should I look for.

the fluid should be clear and red. Also check the cable for connection & actuation. Beyond that, they'll have to come out and visit a pro. They're very simple devices and not too hard or expensive to fix.

Shift cable?
Electric shift solenoid?
Propeller gone?
Hub spun out?
Boat chained to underwater concrete block?

LOL . . . how bout still attached to trailer?

I would check elec. connections for the shift solenoids first. had this happen on a 28 Magnum i was helping test with a friend.
