i was looking around and found that Gerald Berton designed the 38 cig. does anyone know more about this?

craig barrie designed the mayflower and then moved to cigarette

Believe it was Harry Schoell.......do a search on one of Brownie's threads......he's explained it a few times.

Jerry Burton my butt! It was the original 35' Schoell Cgarette, stretched to 37 and a half feet. I straightened the bottom out, and the design team at Cigarette, Gowens, Jenkins, Barrie, Smith and Lehman and I, Stylist Jim Muir, ace boatbuilders, Jim Gardiner, Alex McCrea put it all together. I must say, it was one of the more perfect boats I have been associated with.

what did Burton do? i read he 'designed' the top gun, could that be true or what is going on??
