Default High Idle

I have a 28 Skater w /2005 250xs's,
After starting both moters cold within 5 min. or less the right motors idle runs up to about 1500 RPM and stays there until you shift into gear. Than it drops to a normal idle of 600 RPM. Put it in neutral it goes back up. I was told it was the T.P.S , so I switched it from the good motor. Problem was still there, and left motor still ran fine. So before I destroy the lower unit can any one HELP.

Is the cable adjusted properly? Is the lash in the cable allowing the idle to rise?

Sounds to me like you comp is keeping the motor in the cold start mode. Leak in the fuel rail can cause the same prob. Might check tire valve like fitting close to the water neck on the fuel rail to see if there is a slight leak.
