Looking for a little insight on what the lifespan of true headers in a 100% salt water enviorment would be. With proper flushing after each run.
A bit more specific, factory headers on a 525, or a 500efi, how many years will they last before removal for inspection & or replacement?
Second part of the question....
Would it be better to just run a "dry exhaust" to extend the lifespan?
I know there are many factors with this, but I'm looking for an average more than anything.

Dry exhaust won't be any different, the header is still jacketed the same way as wet. Only diff is the end is welded up and the water is exited through a different hole.
