Default I found a handy tool

http://www.ridgid.com/seesnakemicro/

It works pretty well, I used it for seeing areas in my new van for pulling wires. I am sure it will come in handy for things on the boat, It was about $250.00

Does it have a light on the end of the camera for seeing in low light places or is it low light capable?

Yes it does have a light on the end. Also comes with multiple little tools...like a magnet, or mirror attachment that can be added on if need be....
We have a couple we use for getting above drywall ceilings to check leaks or such in construction...it has saved us the hassle of tearing open ceilings and walls for no reason.....

Can't beat it for the price.

Plus, you could do colonoscopys on the side to pay for it!
Makes it almost free! :-)
