Hey guys, Did they make a two piece rear main 502 block? I was looking at a 540 and it has a 2 piece seal and I haven't seen one with that seal.? Would there be another way to get a 540 out of another block? I think the back of the block has MARK IV cast into it, But is hard to see. Thanks

This block does not have the bow-tie cast into the side of the block, though ???????

I had mark 4 502 s in my old boat and they had the bow tie on the side of the nlock. So yes there are mark 4 two piece seal 502 blocks out there they were mad between 1988 and about 1991 so good luck finding them.

Further search of the block did reveal a 8.2 casting, But no bow tie. A guy has a 540 all fresh with NEW edelbrock heads,all roller for 6800. Just checking some info I wasn't sure about. ........AUH, yes I read that thread p..bull..HA HA HA
