The new boat is a 1989 15' Super Sport with the low profile rail all the way around and the compartment on the back of the back seat. Wood seats. The wheel is like yours and faces aft. Tach and speedo in dash with integrated speedo pickup in lower unit. 19 gal plastic tank on port plus spare 6 gal plastic tank. She is a sinker however, no self bailing, she takes on about 6 inches of water before balancing out, so the guy put in an self contained auto bilge in the small well in the bottom which pumps up into the larger well below the engine. A nice setup, so no tubes over the side. She is a sinker because power is a 300+ lb 1992 75hp oil-injected Mercury with power trim and a 12x21" stainless prop (plus original aluminum spare with stickers still on it). The guy started with a 1989 60hp Merc when he bought new in 1989 but then traded up to the 75hp in 1992, can you imagine... Anyhow, he claims 45-47mph. Must get wild. It has black bottom paint which I don't like but I guess I will need it when I use it over here in the ocean. The boat lived on a river in Maine 12 miles upstream from the ocean. It lived full time in this water for 3 seasons, the rest of the years it was quick launched. Not as clean and pure as LG but not full salt either. Hardly any corrosion on the lower unit. New water pump this fall. Old battery, loose rails, needs new decals, bent stern light, typical stuff. Overall in very nice shape though. Galv Shore Land'r roller trailer with upright guide things in back, looks solid, towed very easily for 200+ miles at 70mph, needs lights but I didn't get arrested fortunately.
Did you pull your whaler yet?
How's Lavery, up for some January fishing?

I was kind of hoping that it would have the same power as mine, then we could do some one design match racing. I am sure that you will see thoose speeds on the ocean with a light load. The steering will be the biggest challenge to the handling. A dual cable system would be the cheapest way to better control but full hydraulics would be best. Wicked high winds and low temps have kept me off the water last week, hopefully next week will be better. Ironman.

It has the standard steering like in the Century, single solid cable in and out. It still turns easily, hasn't started to freeze up yet. Probably will handle better when the cable gets older and tighter.
Did you get the PB Mag I sent with the Donzi 500HP setup?
I have another I'll send over with a cool black 28 Pantera which won one of the factory classes World Championship. A good 80+mph 28' Velocity review also.
