Default Shower Pick Up

Hey guys I have a single line drive shower on my bravo 1 drives. What side of the cavitation plate is the best side to pick up the most water? On the up side of the prop rotation or the down side?I think I had them on the down side last year but I cant remember.

Thanks Nordic95

I just installed Latham showers on my 292. You install them on the UP side. Their instructions were clear about this and even included a template. So if you have a right hand rotation prop (turns clockwise looking from the rear) you install the shower pick-up on the left (port) side of the cavitation plate.

Remember... measure twice, drill once!!

Do they have the 1/4" stainless pipe with a slight turn on the end that goes through the cavitation plate?I had mine on the up side and friends over the summer told me they should be on the opposite side,so much for listening to them.

Hopefully this link works. It shows what the pick-up looks like. It is about 1/2" in diameter with a 45° cut in it. Had to drill a 1/2" hole in the plate along with a smaller hole for the mounting screw. Worked out great and the 90° fitting screws right into the Latham steering plate mounted on top of the outdrive.
