Now looking for mechanic
Thanks guys for the leads on a surveyor, i'm getting things arranged. Now i guess i need a mechanic (or someone w/ engine knowledge) to look over a pair of engines & give their opinion. If anyone has recommendations in the Huffman/Houston area, let me know.

Your surveyor should be able to run the engines, compression check, etc. Last surveyor I had checked compression, silicon, brass, etc. in the oil. If your surveyor will not do this I would find one that will. If you are looking at the boat that I know you are
then It is at a mechanics shop. I don't know much about the shop but I always had a bad feeling about the guy. Good Luck!

It's the guy that was looking at the Cafe Racer over in Huffman. I went and looked at it yesterday. It is missing a bunch of parts from 1 engine, and it hasn't been run in years. Upholstery is completely shot. It's a shame, because it was a really nice boat.
