Not just the boating industry, but the co's expansion and the lack of use of carb's in many applications ie: fuel injection----------Sorry forgot the ol'greed part & bad timing ! ps & I like carb's too !!

FI has had absolutely nothing to do with this... The carburetor industry is still around + 300 Million a year without any issue. The problem came from the corporate mentality that was there in the past. The people in charge where buying a number of companies (Hooker, Earls, Weiand, NOS, etc.) to make the company look very big and roll it over this is very common in the corporate world. Unfortunately for them they weren't able to roll it before the all of the debt came due. They'll emerge from this without a problem.
