Default How much $$$ to paint a Donzi 22 Classic?

I'm thinking about having my 22 classic painted in IMRON (white with red stripe and red waterline stripe. It's the original 1988 gelcoat and in direct sun I can see thousands of little cracks or splits in the surface. I'm hoping to make the boat look like new again.

Does anyone have the slightest idea what I would be looking at cost wise?

We also paint, gelcoat, restore & Customize boats. IMO, If it has a lot of cracks & splits it will cost more than 7k to have a really good job done. 7k can go real fast.. Especially if you are stripping all of the hardware & doing a thorough job. It's a lot of labor.. Also I would not recomend using Imron or awlgrip. I would recomend using BASF Diamont (which Donzi uses on their painted hulls) or PPG Concept (which Cig uses on thier painted hulls).. The other stuff IMO doesnt look as nice or hold up as well from what I have seen. The high end base clear is more forgiving & looks stellar in my opinion.. Jamie / Lakeside

Thanks guys. I don't think a $25k boat warrants a $7k paint job, but then it didn't really need a EFI whipple blower and full hyd steering either... that's going to take some time to get the penny jar up to that size.

What do you think it's worth to do?
