The reason for me asking this is I was reading a tech article in the March powerboat and Tegue refers to a 525 as a gen V motor at one point and it really threw me for a loop. I am with you I am 99.9 % sure all were from the 500 EFI forward Gen VI....Maybe I Read the article wrong. This is on Page 28 and he is refering to head gaskets to use on this motor.

Just read that as well...I think he is referring to just the head gasket for a GenV. I think you can run a GenV head gasket on a GenVI as well.

This is what happens when you have a sick 2 year old on your hands and the wife is out of town, have'nt slept in 48 hours and have been cooped up in the house for 2 days

Now these are the original EFI big blocks from the 80's .

They came in 540CI 850+ or for Open Class 500 CI rated at 800+ and made tons of torque .
