A friend of mine is interested in a 30 motion with trip300 promax motors.Anyone have any experience with these?Does it fly level? How does it handle with three engines vs.two motors?Any information would be greatly appreciated.

the person that built my 35 motion had a couple of 30 motions and the last one he had he tried every combination possible and we spoke about this recently he loved the 3x300 best, he said it accelerated hard and ran in any kind of water....I really cant remember what gears he had ( 1.62 ?) and the props were custom made 15 1/2 x 36 mercury 3 blades and he ran 121.............

Sounds like a fun boat.
here is one.......says fresh water use only.....except for that pic of it running in the ocean.

I owned a triple 280 (2.5) 30' Motion for a few years. One of best boats I have ever owned. The cool factor is much higher with the third engine. The triple will get to speed very, very quickly compared to the twins. The boat was built with triples in mind so the gas tanks were a little forward to balance the boat. We also had a center pod added for some protection of the center lower unit which takes a real beating. The boat from a dead stop would keep up with personal watercraft in a drag to about 50 mph and then we would lose them. I actually took it a radar run for drag outboards once and from a dead stop it hit just over 100mph in only 1000'.
Three is a lot fun!
