Does anybody have a set of low ratio BBC rockers ( 1.5 orso )that they would either like to get rid of , or even loan out , or rent , ect... ????

I know Harland Sharp makes a set of 1.5's for a BBC
I am wanting a set for a bit of extra insurance breaking in a flat tappet cam.

Anybody ????

If you're too lazy to pull the inner springs Comp has a 1.5 set for about $350.

You do know that there is the proper additive for just that situation. AND, see Joe Gibbs Racing Oils for lubricants that are made for just that problem------valve train wear.

I have a brand new set of 1.6 ratio 7/16 stud rockers $150 shipping included.

I think the Sharp's are around $200 ( not sure on the exact cost )

As far as the too lazy part well.......... got in the house & in bed at 4:00am this morning & I was back here at the shop at 8:00am ( for about the 5th time in the past 2 weeks ) ontop of a full time self employment job , side jobs , a wife & 2 kids , ect...ect... Oh yeah & like alot of us here I also own a boat that I do all my own work on so theres another full time job... So the time & lazyness is not a factor , although I am sure you were just busting my balls...

Yeah I am aware of the GM EOS & the Rotella t & a few other oils that still have the good stuff in them for break in. Also removing inner springs ect...

I will check out Joe Gibbs oils.

How much lift and spring pressure you runnin?

Around 135-140# on the seat & around 340-360# open...

Those numbers are approx b/c I am at the shop right now & they are wrote down at the house , so I am going off the top of my sleepy head..

Unless you're running some crazy lift and ramp angles then you've got absolutely nothing to worry about with that much pressure. I've done lots of iron head combos with the Comp 911 which is a single spring with almost identical pressures. Never had a problem.. Good luck, Alex.
