Buying tomorrow. 500 hp CAT and loaded. Tomorrow is the big day. What do you think it's worth? Recent motor and rears (60,000 miles) Virgin rubber , Corvette dash , stretched , etc. The guy told me he got a ticket in Florida late at night - 120 mph!

It's cool, are you going to shorten it up and loose an axle for just towing boats on leave it?

I'll be pulling a 48ft flatbed. My 7 year old son will be riding shotgun. It'll mostly be a show truck for our company but I want my son to remember his roots and make some short trips w/ me!

shouldn't it cruise at 1400 to 1500. 1650 seems high for a large cat. I know the redlline is 2100. the engine should develope lots of torque by 1200. Looks cool, best of luck. My kids love driving with me in the summer

I'm going by what the guy's telling me. I've nevre owned a CAT. We got a bunch 60 Series Detroits and Cummins. He said the gear in the rear end or trans is flipped over. I've heard something like that before.
