Default merc dist wiring

anybody know which wire goes were on a fac merc dist ,using a thundervolt module,,#1g22a,v6-14,,in 588'' bbc
1st loom
1. purple wire goes to + side of coil
2. grey wire goes to - side of coil


2nd loom
3.white /red tracer goes to dist ? right terminal looking at dist
4.white /green tracer goes to dist ? left treminal looking at dist

5. black wire to bolt on module


are there any numbers or signs stamped on dist ?,,im trying to tell the dyno guy how to wire up dist ,,anybody wire these up to a msd #6 box?

The module case must also be grounded. It is usually grounded by bolting it to the engine. If its not bolted to the engine, then its needs to be grounded.

Not sure about the wiring for running it with an MSD box.

Also, there is no rev limiter built into a TB IV module.

You are talking about the leads off of the distributor right?

These are the pick-up leads which goto the ingition module. Out of the iginition module there are only 4 wires going out (or coming in) and they are:

Purple/ white which is grounded and goes to the knock module.

Purple, which is 12v (power) and + side of the coil.

Gray, which is the negative side of the coil and the tach lead.

Black, which is ground.

You should be able to do a continuity test to see which is + and - off of the distributor. I can only assume that the wht/red is positive and the wht/green is negative.
