Goosecam!

Check it out. Here is the bumper cam and the goose cam. No more yelling at the wife about what the definition of the center is! I put in touchscreen navigation, 6 disk changer, lux upgrade, ipod interface and dual backup cameras.

I used the pac-audio video interface. I had to take the nav unit apart and change the ribbon cable as the gmt 800 platform does not allow for a video cam where the new trucks nav system does. Video input 2 overides video input 1 when power is applied to the green wire input. I had to run two switches instead of one since I have both of them on the reverse lights. So, normally when I hit reverse, it automatically goes to the ball cam everytime. To go to the goose cam, I hit the switch to go to cam 1 and then hit the second micro to chop power to video 2. Works like a charm. I could have done 2 more relays. and had it where one switch will switch from cam 2 to cam 1 and chop power on video 2.....but it was about 2 in the morning and I was trying to finish it so I could put the dash back in so that I could go to work the next day. There was alot of labor in this install as I had to repin the amp connectors to go to the lux amp and all the crap to hook the changer up....and cut the console out. If you want, I can send you the schematic to wire it that way. I know it took me longer as I have not done any stereo work in 15 years......but I was getting the hang of it toward the end. I also built a new system behind glass in the boat this year that turned out good too.

I had to epoxy the goose cam to the 98gal aux tank.....and there was no real good way to run the wire on it......but it does not look to bad unless you get to staring at it. The ideal set up would be one integrated into the 3rd brake light. I did not think about that until I had it installed. But I will probably go back and do that......but I don't know if the view to the ball will be as good because of the tank.

That turned out pretty trick!
For a better appearance on the camera in the bed...
Go to Home Depot/Lowes, and get some Panduit. I think they even make it in black, but you may have to settle for white and paint it. It will hide the wires and make a much more eye pleasing install.

2007 GMC Classic. Remember, If you do a Lux headunit, you MUST change to the lux amp and re-pin the connectors or it will not work and burn up your chit.
