Just thought I would pass this information on to anybody that was interested. Do any other Chris Craft owners have this type of engine setup?

I think those are factory merc 475HP engines from the old days, I found another set of turbo engines, thats what they called them, coolsetup!! prob hard to get parts for the turbo/exhast setup.

I have the same engine/ outdrive set up in my 1980 Scarab. In the past 5 years I have only seen one other person who had the same engine/ outdrive setup the same as mine and it also was in a 1980 Scarab. As far a being able to get parts, I ghave not run into to many problems finding stuff on ebay or being able to fabricate things myself. The turbo system isn't to complex and really the only difference is the turbos sit on top of the exhaust manifolds and the exhaust is dry and a straight shot out of the exhaust impeller.

There should be carbon seals in the turbo's too. This keeps the gas out of the oil in the center section.
