I am about to purchase a 1989 Maelstrom Mirage 23'. It has a 454BB with a Bravo 1 drive.

These are relatively rare boats and I cant find a whole lot on them on these forums. Anyone know of performance numbers or the ride/safety of this hull design.

I have had many center console outboard boats adn thought i needed a new rnexpensive toy for the rivers and bay.

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Malstroms were good boats and very fast. They held The A class kilo record for a while . The boats raced for a long time. I think the overall length is shorter than 24" nice pad bottom ,good handling ,hand built.

bigbronco, where is the boat you are looking at buying? I have come across one as well that I am looking at.

Not to be a wet-blanket, but a search will usually uncover info on ANY offshore boat.
