Default Maelstrom Boats

Anyone know anything about them? A friend of mine is looking at a 24 V and asked me about them. I've never even heard of them. I did a search and the only info I found was on a 32 Cat.

Saw one or two around years ago. Didn't really impress me much at the time for fit and finnish/quality. I heard one of them came apart in a not so nice way buy I never saw the damage personally.

What was the bottom like? He showed me a pic of it and it looked like a FLAT bottomed boat at the transom. But it was hard to tell from the pic. I don't mean "flat" like 19-20*, I mean FLAT like 0*!

They were a Michael Peters designed cat. They look good and perform well. Not the fastest boat not the slowest boat.

I have a friend that will make you a great deal on one with 3 (V8) Johnson's on it.

Deadrise of the 23' is 17 or so if I remember right, set an A Class record some years ago over 93 mph, cool interior with left hand drive. I have a Powerboat tests on the 23' vee and 32' cat that I'll try and find to get some more info for you...Matt

I owned 2- 24's. They ran great, fairly fast with little power. Sort of like a larger IO powered Hydrostream. The flat part of the transom is a setback notch for a high X.

Well he picked the boat up. The motor it came with was basically a drag car motor so it didn't run worth a chit! He pulled that motor out and put in his bone stock 350(260hp?) and the damn thing runs 61 mph on GPS! Not bad for a 24' boat.
