Default KC daylighters on Arch???

Any of you guys ever put KC daylighters or the like on the top of the arch?
If so how many?
I was thinking of a few 100W lamps up there
Not sure how that would look though
Maybe time to play with Paint shop pro or adobe?
Huh
What all do you think?
Jason

It is not legal to run with these things turned on as they blind oncomming drivers. Also, you will get so much foreground light on your deck, they will actually diminish your ability to see at night.
The bright lights you see mounted at the fromt of the boat are called landing lights and can only be turned on for that purpose.
I admit they look cool, but don't help you to see and will get you a ticket.

My mistake, the bright lights typically found on the front of the boat are called docking lights, not landing lights as I previously stated. They light up the shore nicely, but they don't do much good out on the open water.

i see sport fishing boats with HUGE fllod lights on teh fly bridges facing teh cockpit all eth time. At nite when they are fishing they turn them up and ce be seens from damn miles away. In addition they blind anything within a hundred yards. Why are the floods on radar arches not allowed buut flood on sportfishes for lighting the cockpit legal?

Me??? A redneck???
I live in Philly PA, no rednecks around here
Better think about that one Scott, You live in good ol' Ohahhhoooo

28SS , why dont you learn how to use your capslock prior to a reply and personally I have never seen a 28 cig with an arch so WTF are you talking about?

I dont know where you all go boating, but around here when you sleep out at night at the cove and there are a few hundred boats all anchored everywhere with no real orgainization, you want to run into someones mooring line, go ahead, Me personally would like to avoid that and have some lights to see and maneuver in and out of all of the moored boats.
So yes Lights would be a good thing but wanted to get an idea if anyone had put them up on their arch
and I think that those remote search lights on the bow look gay as hell and I would not desecrate my bow with one of those F*ck poles

Why not mount a searchlight on the arch?
Those off road lights would make your boat look like a redneck truck.
Oop's, there's no rednecks in Philly.
Up there they're called "stump jumpers".
In Jersey they call'em Piney's.

Arches are for radar buy a hand held spot light for when you need it.....my.02 I took the search light off my arch ...thought it looked like $h!t....Never use my docking lights either if the boat did'nt come with them they would'nt be there....
