Default does anyone know who raises th rev limiter on a 525?

I am hitting the rev limiter barely with my single engine cat with a custom 29 bravo 1 but a 30 labbed is much slower in acceleration so I want to keep the 29 but get it a little space from the rev limiter.

I'm having trouble finding the thread on who can get around the Limiter. I know of a person or two who can access timing and fuel curve, but there is one who can open up the rev limiter. Merc is pretty tip-lipped about that ECM.

There recently was a thread about this and Dustin Whipple can do them, I believe he was saying the motor could easily turn up to 5800 RPM with the valvetrain and internals that Mercury uses. The thread was about 3 weeks ago and was titled something like more HP out of a 525, try a search! Steve

I think Dustin charges around $1400 to change it.

Whipple is the one and only. I think the $1400.00 charge is incorrect, althought I would not be surprised to hear 3-5 hundred.

I would almsot call for you, but there customer service is not the best, sometimes. But they have the good stuff.
