I have a new Fountain , and from being in the water at Lake Texoma over the weekend the prop, transom and all the braided lines have a coating of calcium or something covering all these pieces. My question is does anybody know what to use to disolve these deposits? I can take my finger nail and scratch it off of the propeller. Will any thing like CL
R help?

Thanks,
Chris

Yes CLR, lime away, are good for real hard water spots. Try vinegar first it is not as harsh, but most of the time it will work fine. You can dilute the vinegar with water try it diluted if it don't work use it straight. If you use CLR or LIME AWAY try a little spot out of the way first to see if your going to have a problem with it etching your paint or Aluminum. All three of these will remove all of your wax so you will have to wax the parts that are affected.

I've used Sno Bol toilet bowl cleaner for yrs to rid the calcium build up. Just sqirt it on and it'll dissolve the build up instantly. Rinse well afterwards. Takes that nasty white chaulk off your drive too if you have any.
