AC MR43T. I've owned two boats with the 500's and they both liked the el cheapo AC plug better than the NGK (BR6FS -I think?).

The cap and rotors need to be changed at least yearly too. They give up allot after getting verdigris on the poles in the cap...a new rotor alone won't correct it. The Merc kit, cap and rotor was $60 or $70 the last time I had to buy one.

Probably some aftermarket stuff that's better and cheaper.
