Default Check valve Issue ?

I have a old school 1986 powerplay 350 SBC 260HP that I think may have a stuck check valve in the gas tank, beacause at WOT this thiing just does not have it. At 3500 RPM it is great.

SPAZBOB or who ever said he had some experience with this.

Thanks,

Steve

It is a anti siphon valve. It has a spring holding the line closed. They do get hung up. It could also be an obstruction in the pick up tube and/or the check valve. Most pick ups have a screen in the tube some where. It is generally an easy job to pull pick up and check for debris.

The anti siphon is a safety item if you remove it you should install a shut off valve in its place. Many people just remove the valve. In most cases its not a good idea.
