Can anyone tell me the cam specs that Mercury racing used for thier 500 bulldogs? Thanks

I'm pretty sure it was the same cam used in the HP500 carbed engines. I don't have my HP book with the specs anymore.

The "Bulldog" is not an hp500.

Your thread topic doesn't match your question.

What cam are you looking for, the "Bulldog" cam or the HP500 Cam?

HP500 (hydr roller) and Bulldog 540 (hydr flat tappet) cams are very different - not even same type.

In my notes I have the Bulldog 540 as having:
Crane Flat Tappet Hydraulic Cam
240, 250 at .050"
.559", .578" lift
110LSA
Cam installed 5 advanced (105ICL)

I believe grind # H-240/329-2-10 ???

Sorry, I thought the bulldog was the same as an hp 500. I need specs for the hyd roller. This is for a carbed engine. Thanks.

At .050” 222, 230
