If it's a Gen VI, I'd go with the stock carb and intake, AFR 315 CNC'd heads, Crane 168741, 1.8 Crane Golds on the intake and 1.7 Crane gold rockers on the exhaust, new lifters, Isky valve springs, CMI Elbow tops, and a HVH 1" Super Sucker carb spacer....620+ Ask me, I've got 2!

First place to start is heads. Either port the stock ones, Or buy new aluminum heads. Then cam it up !

OK as for the heads which is the best for my motor and were do i purchase as with the cam. I think the only problem that i am gonna run into is that i just bought a set emi exhaust and i am pretty sure they do not recommend beefing up the cam.

If you guys could link me to some decent places to find this stuff that would be great and roughly how much is this gonna cost?

Thanks to all of you that are taking time out to help a fellow boater out

Amen, call RMBuilder. Bob will set you up with no BS and will stick with you through the whole project. I have 2 600 hp reworked carb 500 hps with Bob's heads, cams, etc. Great torque and picked up 10 mph in the boat.
