Anyone know anything about the two stroke 6v-92's?? We have one that is blowing a lot of black smoke and seems to be down on power.
Have had one suggestion of a possible air intake restriction that I have not checked out yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's located in the blower inlet housing which is on top of the blower where the turbo compressor outlet connects. It should have a small lever on the side and a latch. The flap inside the housing is spring loaded closed. Cock the lever back against the spring pressure and lock the latch to hold it open. These were used on mechanically controlled engines as an emergency stop in case of an injector, linkage, or governor problem that would prevent normal shut down by moving the injectors to the stop position by the stop lever.
