I've searched this forum and the web for the factory 496 Mag HO horsepower curve chart with no success. I know they're out there. Any help would be appreciated. I'm over-propped at 4400 RPM WOT and was just curious how far away from the horsepower peak I was. 29' Wizard.
Thanks in advance!

with a 496HO you are going to want to be at about 5000RPM. Limiter set at 5150.
There is a chart I have seen by a exhaust company . I think EMI. They worked with Raylar with a stock 496ho and then installed some elbow tops. Both dyno charts were listed. I have the link at home I can post later unless someone else posts it.

Here's a link to some actual dyno testing I did on a 496 HO. It should answer your questions.

Thanks, that helped a bunch! I had a 26' Lavey NuEra totalled on July 4th and replaced it with a Magic Wizard XL with 496 HO. I'm at 6,000' elevation and with the factory 24P Bravo prop, I'm only at 4400 RPM (though, suprisingly, it's at just shy of 60). I was hoping that if I propped down, I'd be able to pick up some more speed, but the horsepower doesn't seem down too far at only 4400 RPM.
Any suggestions or input is appreciated!
