Default Anyone familiar with the 90 day tax-exemption in CA??

I've been looking at getting a new boat for a while now and am doing more and more research. I was first looking at the luxury tax that I would have to pay in California and stumbled across a tax break in CA.

Apparently, there used to be, and now exists again a tax loophole which allow purchasers of boats, RV's, and airplanes to aviod paying taxes.

Here is a copy of the article:

Anyway, I am wondering how this may apply to my purchase of a 28 ft boat .

Any ideas or comments????

Thanks guys!!

I don't know if it effects a 28ft boat or not. It sounded like it was more focused on expensive yachts.

Just went thru that last week with a friends new 48 footer. Everything was done offshore in international waters, photographed, documented and witnessed. I would assume this applies mostly to documented boats...
