So what do I do to make my ugly trailer.... Less ugly? Will the paint stick if done correctly? What is the correct way?

I also have some solid wheels as well that are galvanized and I want to paint or powder coat those too.

Leave it alone, it matches the boat color!


How tough is that to load/ unload? Can you do it solo?

Soda or bead blast it. Prime with an etching primer, paint with a good quality single stage urethane paint.

Sell and buy a Painted. And then paint it every other year.

Pic looks like coastal waters you are better off with what you have.

I have done it solo a few times early in the morning on Lake Havasu. It isn't any harder than any other boat in my opinion, I just dont like being "that guy" that keeps the ramp blocked up.

Unloading is cake.

My wife does the Freightliner and trailer and she is awesome at it, so we have a good system. If she is doing the truck, we can be on the trailer and off the ramp in less than 5 minutes. That includes putting the 2 front ratchet straps on too. I get the boat on the trailer, and hook the bow strap on. Then back the truck down deeper in water and crank the boat on. I dont power it on with the motors.

The boat has been in the ocean 1 time and that was on my demo ride/sea trial which is when i took the picture I posted. I have not taken the boat anywhere except AZ lakes/waters (fresh water).
