Daytona 26, 525, sportmaster drive, 30p lab prop....turning 4900-5000 rpm......gps at 84.6 on hand held garmin. Others with experiece with set up, does this sound about right speed wise?

sounds about right. You should be able to squeeze a few more RPMS out of it though. 525 I believe should pull 5200rpms.
