Need to get new strap for trailer, but not sure of strength needed. Here is one i found at west

Do i need a more heavier duty one for the Cafe?

I would think you need a cable for that boat.

My trailer and winch uses a steel cable which I just replaced. My boat is about 8K loaded.

Can i change from a strap to cable? boat is 4 hrs away so cant get to winch at moment, do i need to buy new winch setup for a cable or can i retrofit?

The strap doesn't need to be able to lift the boat, it needs to hold the trailer securely to the bottom of the boat. Any strap capable of winching the boat forward once on the bunks would just snap off the winch stand anyway.

Once you have the boat on the trailer, you need two straps on the bow eye, angling backwards to the trailer frame. This will keep your boat from impaling you in the back of the head if you panic stop or impact something. This has happened- recently. Two more on the transom eyes down to the trailer. Again, you're not lifting the boat, you're holding the trailer to the boat's bottom. 2" is fine. Guys have hit big bumps before and bounced boats off the side of trailers. You need to tie it down.

i have the 2 straps on the back & use a chain from eye to the trailer. just didnt know what type of strength needed for winch strap since i pretty much drive boat on trailer except the last couple inches. sounds like the 10k strap is good.

All the standard 2" stuff is 4K/10K. It should be plenty. In fact, it shouldn't be doing anymore than moving the semi-floating hull a couple inches up after contacting the bunks. the 4 others are what's going to be holding it onto the trailer.

Bdiggity - did you get your water pickup issue sorted out?

Yup, moved the bow stop back about 5", now pickups not resting on bunks.
