Single stage metallic, or two stage?
#1
Had a little accident with tailgate and need to replace it and paint it. Currently have the reducer and hardener for single stage, but I am having second thoughts about using it with a metallic paint. (Dark Gray Metallic). I keep the truck clean, but not waxed, so I am not looking for show car finish. Just looking for some feedback on the single stage metallic aspect. I know the wet sanding polishing of the single stage is a going to show, but was thinking about mixing in some compatible clear with the top coat.

If shooting an entire panel thats one thing. If you are going to blend it is more likely to not blend or look blemished in my opinon as well.. Base clear I think would be the better way to go... Jamie
