Default problem with 502 efi... Help!!!

my starbord motor is droppin off when running above 3800 rpms tach shows it droppin 7 or 800 rpms then pickin right back up, more of a hesitation really Also has done cruising around 3000 but only when the water is rough, no problems what so ever starting, idling or even comin up on plain, I'm guessing fuel related but what exactly, fuel pump? Fuel filter? Opinions please... Thanx n advance

When was the last time it had a cap and rotor? After that I would check the screen in the bottom of your high press. efi pump fuel bowl module, On top of the motor. Then fuel pressure to see if it is dropping off. 38-42 psi.

Sounds like an electrical connection problem.

Mine had a similair problem, clogged screen in the electric pump in the vst. Then the next year it got way worse...turned out to be the electric pump in the vst.
