Default 24 SB & I/O Power What is top speed possabilities

Got the word from my chiropractor. He suggested not having a sit down performance boat. I have not used my 21 SB in 2 mos. May have to move to a 24' SB. I know w/300X 72-76MPH. What are performance numbers with an I/O?

My 1997 24' SB streight bottom ran 65-67mph with a 310HP 7.4MPI and 74-76mph with a 415HP 502MagMPI.
If that is not fast enough, 500HP gets you 80-82mph.

I always wanted one with a 525. I think it should do damn close to 90. that really is too fast for a 24 though unless its perfect conditions.

I don't know if I would say that the 24 is a true "stand up" boat. I always sit in mine.

Anyway, I have a '98 hull w/496HO and I run 76-78 MPH.

I too sat in mine more than I stood. But out in the rough I would stand. It's nice having the option.
Standing and driving a 21sb is not an option.

Well, i stood in my 24 pantera, the seat was too close to the wheel to sitdown.
I'm 5'10", and had angled footrests, so i hunkered down a bit when running, but you'll be bending your knees anyways at speed.

Yup, I could only stand in my 24' Pantera too.
I'm short though so no hunkeren required...

Already had a 24' SB, Standing is less stress on the lower back than sitting. Thanks, Mike
